Tim Spradlin served in the United States Air Force and Air Force Reserve from 1978 until 2008. An Iraq combat veteran, Tim retired as a Senior Master Sergeant / First Sergeant with the 445th Security Police Squadron, Air Force Reserve, at Wright Patterson Air Force Base.
In his civilian career Tim served over 40 total years as a firefighter / paramedic with the City of Xenia Fire Division and Xenia Township Fire Department, plus in law enforcement with Greene County Sheriff’s Office and the State Fire Marshal. He retired in 2014 as chief of the state Arson Investigation Bureau.
Tim served 13 years on the Greene County Veterans Services Commission and is currently the chaplain for VFW Post 2402 in Xenia. He also continues to volunteer as the chaplain for Xenia Township Fire Department and as a reserve deputy sheriff for Greene County.
In 2014 Tim and his wife Susan founded the nonprofit Finally Home Farm program on their farm in Xenia Township. They provide equine assisted therapies for veterans and first responders, at no charge. To date they have assisted over 900 wounded warriors who suffered from PTSD, depression, and anxiety.
Susan and Tim have 4 children, 9 grandchildren and 3 great grands. They also have 3 horses, one dog and various barn cats. The Spradlin’s are members of the Byron Church in Bath Township.
