Warren Brown is a lifelong champion of workplace safety, community service, and veteran advocacy. A proud U.S. veteran and Fairborn, Ohio, native, Warren dedicated over four decades to protecting the lives of American workers through his leadership roles at General Motors, Delphi, and DMAX, culminating in a lost workday rate of zero at a major diesel engine plant. His expertise shaped national and international safety practices, with contributions reaching from Ohio to Asia and the Middle East.
Warren’s parallel 40-year journey in professional education includes teaching industrial safety at Sinclair Community College, developing curriculum, mentoring students – including veterans – and shaping the future of occupational health and safety. He co-founded the Kittyhawk Chapter of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP), later serving as global President and earning the organization’s highest honor of Fellow. He also chaired national and international safety committees, testified before the U.S. Senate Labor Committee, and helped pass Ohio legislation to protect professional safety credentials.
Warren’s impact on his hometown is equally profound. A leader on multiple Fairborn city boards, he was instrumental in zoning reform, park development, and veterans’ memorial projects. A regular volunteer, he has supported Honor Flight Dayton, the Sweet Corn Festival, and the Fairborn Area Historical Society. Honored by General Motors, the National Safety Council, and numerous safety organizations, Brown exemplifies the values of service, leadership, and integrity. His career continues to inspire professionals, veterans, and community members across Ohio and beyond.
