Carolyn Destefani proudly served our nation during the Gulf War and continues contributing enthusiastically to her community and state. Her post-military achievements are plentiful and impressive, showing success in her personal, professional, elected official, volunteerism and veteran advocacy endeavors.
As the Director of Federal Programs for Flairsoft Federal, she is the lead representative supporting Federal, Air Force and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB) markets. As an elected Trustee for Sugarcreek, Carolyn represents about 10,000 Township residents and supports balanced civic planning and community enhancement initiatives such as increasing bike-hike paths and preserving Little Miami River Watershed quality. She was part of the influential team that secured preliminary engineering funding for the Wilmington Pike/I-675 corridor project, whose interchange serves as a gateway for Military, Civilians and Federal Contractors traveling to WPAFB.
Other veteran advocacy efforts include spearheading the Sugarcreek Veterans Memorial Park project to honor all Military Veterans, serving on the Miami Valley Military Affairs Association Board of Directors, representing the Bellbrook-Sugarcreek Chamber, and serving as Treasurer for the Greater Ohio Valley Women in Defense chapter, promoting young national security STEM careers. Carolyn orchestrated meals, clothing, educational and leadership resources for low-income families, children, and veterans.
Governor Mike DeWine appointed Carolyn to the Executive Order of the Ohio Commodores in recognition of her contributions to the economic development of the State of Ohio. On November 9th, 2023 Carolyn was inducted into the Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame.
